Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889 in Braunau am Inn. He was born to Alois Hitler and his third wife Klara Pölzl.
After the loss of his mother, Hitler moved to Vienna to pursue his dream of becoming a great painter, though his father wanted him to be a civil servant.
His painting was rejected twice by the committee of the academy of fine arts by saying that his painting works were ‘unsatisfactory’.
Hitler was living in Munich at the outbreak of World War I In August 1914 voluntarily enlisted in the Bavarian Army. He was a part of First Battle of Ypres, the Battle of the Somme, the Battle of Arras, and the Battle of Passchendaele.
He received the Iron Cross, Second Class, in 1914. for his bravery. He received the Iron Cross, First Class on 4 August 1918, which was rare to be awarded to one of Hitler’s Gefreiter rank. On 18 May 1918, he received the Black Wound Badge.
He later became the leader of the Nazi party and the Chancellor of Germany in 1933 and was responsible for the world’s deadliest war in human history called The World War II.
He committed suicide by shooting himself on April 30, 1945, after losing the war. His wife whom he recently married, Eva Braun, also took her own life.
